    ABOUT THIS JOB

You are a high-energy technology enthusiast combined with a professional, polished communicator. You love learning about new technologies and industries, and you love sharing what you've learned with others even more. You are naturally driven to become an expert in whatever product or space you are tasked to document. You care passionately about developing useful, accurate, and consistent content, and have a knack for knowing the questions a user will ask before they do. You don't wait for the information to come to you: you go out and get it. You grasp technical concepts well enough to earn the respect of the engineers you work with. But most importantly: you are fun to work with and bring a sense of humor to the toughest of challenges.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work independently to gather information from designers, software engineers, and product managers about new features and updates.

    • Write concise, complete, and consistent on-task content that helps both technically sophisticated and less technical users be successful and reduces confusion and user errors.

    • Perform UI text reviews at the appropriate point in the design phase and provide feedback to ensure that all UI text is useful, consistent, and concise.

    • Engage agile teams and represent the interests of the documentation team and our users. If you have a great idea to improve a product feature, share it!

    • Use the products, test each procedure and workflow, become an expert user, and advocate for LiveRamp's customers. If something seems difficult to document, it's probably difficult to use and understand.

    • Work closely with customer support to identify opportunities to make the documentation better ... and then make the documentation better. Be responsive to customer requests for information.

    • Work with other writers to help define and improve writing styles, standards, and processes. Capture style decisions and doc processes on an internal wiki so future writers can come up to speed quickly.

    • Incorporate user research findings and insights to improve documentation effectiveness and efficiency.

    Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of technical writing experience in enterprise SaaS software.

    • Bachelor's degree.

    • Excellent content planning and organization skills.

    • The ability to act as an information designer, project manager, writer, editor, and publisher.

    • The ability to quickly learn complex concepts and technologies and clearly explain them to others.

    • Knowledge or experience with creating documentation in an Agile development environment.

    • Knowledge or experience with ticket/bug tracking systems, preferably using Jira.

    Bonus points:

    • Previous experience in the Adtech industry and within data-rich products

    • Previous experience working with the documentation tool Paligo

    Bonus Points Experience and Education:

    • 15+ years of technical writing experience

    • Master degree
