Sr Windows Administrator

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Sr Windows Administrator for a contract to hire opportunity based out of the greater Lexington KY area. The main responsibility in this role will be oversee everything in the Windows Server environment including managing, troubleshooting, implementing enhancements, recommend upgrades, project planning, identify areas to improve the environment etc. Additionally, it will be this persons responsibility to handle/oversee Active Directory, Group Policy, and automation scripting. The organization is currently in a mixed environment but working to move to be fully in a cloud environment. There will be the opportunity to be cross trained with the cyber and networking team members to continue enhancing this individuals knowledge of the IT environment. This role would be expected to work fully onsite Monday-Friday.

Skills and Requirements

5+ yrs of Windows Server administration exp (2012/R2 through current versions)

Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure AD (Entra), Exchange Online, PowerShell scripting, etc.

Working knowledge of TCP/IP and DNS

Experience with on premise, virtual and cloud environments Bachelors degree in IT

Microsoft certifications

Experience with any of the following: Linux, MS-SQL, SharePoint, and ISS

Knowledge of SANs, high availability, and disaster recovery techniques null
