  • The duties include but are not limited to

    • Define and complete system level specifications and requirements

    • Design electrical hardware to receive agency approvals (UL, CSA, ATEX, MSHA, etc.)

    • Develop technical design documentation

    • Troubleshoot new and legacy designs

    • Follow, enforce and mature engineering processes and standards

    • Develop and present materials for design reviews and champion design for manufacturability, reliability and serviceability

    • Design legacy product upgrades

    • Train on the technical use and servicing of new designs

    • Collaboratively participate in multi-functional product development teams

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent degree/experience

    • Proven experience developing and delivering proof-of-concept prototypes and demoing to both technical and leadership teams.

    • Proven experience with design standard processes for high-speed, radio frequency, wireless system, and mixed-signal design for PCBs, chassis integration, interconnects, antenna integration, and material selection.

    • Experience with power supply noise suppression and management, high-speed signal transmission and measurement, radio system co-existence, and fixing board-level EMI/EMC issues.

    • Experience with high-frequency and wireless system measurement tools including Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Signal Generators, Dielectric Material Analyzers, Anechoic Chambers, Over-the-Air measurement systems, and tissue-equivalent phantoms.

    • Experience with high-frequency simulation tools, for example ANSYS Electronics Desktop environment (e.g., HFSS, Circuit, Q3D, etc.) and other mixed-signal simulation tools (e.g., LTSpice, etc.).

    • Experience with electronic lab tools, including power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent degree/experience

    • 10+ years of experience as a degreed Electrical Engineer

    • Experience with IoT system development and module integration including oversight of FCC, CE/RED, PTCRB and/or GCF testing and certification

    • Strong experience using solder equipment and mechanical prototyping tools

    • Experience in antenna design

    Soft Skills:

    • Able to work independently or in team environments

    • Able to commit to and work under deadlines

    • Demonstrated understanding of Stage-Gate and Agile development processes

    • Effective written and verbal communication skills

    • Delegating responsibilities to the technical staff

    • Manage third party on and off-shore development teams when needed

    • Strong leadership ability
