    • SAIC is seeking a Strategist and Systems Engineer. This position will provide systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services to a customer within the Intelligence Community (IC) in Chantilly, VA.This customer is responsible for designing an enduring strategy for space systems and technological advances in space.This position is an opportunity to apply your knowledge and expertise to capabilities, technology, and the future of space to advance and bring new mission capabilities to National Space Programs.You will provide research, data analysis & visualization, and system design support to an IC customer responsible for the design and execution of a holistic, robust strategy towards 2030.These efforts will influence the national security and US presence in space for generations.

    • ·Build an understanding of stakeholder objectives and priorities along with their alignment to higher level National strategies; assist with creating metrics that measure progress toward those objectives and priorities.

    • ·Develop strategies to implement recommendations to improve programs governing complex customer requests.

    • ·Serve as a resource for providing guidance on handling and coordinating strategies between programs and office teams.

    • ·Process and lead customer optimization to ensure objectives are being met; assist team members in staying abreast of emerging customer needs.

    • ·Demonstrate thought leadership and perspective around foreign tech trends, ideas, and strategy; support development of innovative methods to streamline process to conduct recurring in-depth reviews of current short-and-long term strategic plans to ensure customer's requirements are achieved.

    • ·Serve on a cross-functional team to develop and implement communication materials.

    • ·Work with analytics team members to assess data trends and analyze performance.

    • ·Conduct in-depth investigations, reviews, and audits.

    • ·Act as the day-to-day strategic resource for clients.

    • ·Communicate progress and activities with the customers and internal team.

    • ·Ensure compliance with regulatory governance for all capabilities initiatives.

    • ·Analyze customers to uncover growth opportunities and future-scoping.

    • ·Perform research relevant to the customer, foreign competitors, and help translate into actions.

    • ·Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams to get work done, drive recommendations through to implementation.

    • ·Stay current with latest tech trends in space.

    • ·Interact with outside organizations including (but not limited to) DoD, NASA, National Labs, and Universities to coordinate activities for maximum effect.

    Qualifications

    • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly

    • Bachelor's with 14+ years of experience or 12 years with a Graduate's Degree in business/marketing, computer science, computer engineering, or cyber related field.

    • In depth knowledge (5+ years) of strategic design, futurist strategy, and hype cycles.

    • General knowledge of space systems.

    • Demonstrated lead ship skills and ability to multitask.

    • Comfortable working in the roles of editor or advocate.

    • Strong ability in critical thinking and problem solving.

    • Demonstrated experience negotiating with strong attention to detail.

    • Able to collaborate with others and coordinate on a cross-functional team.

    • Prior experience consulting on product or strategic design.

    • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and energetic environment.

    • Effective interpersonal skills and strong presentation, briefing, and writing skills; ability to express detailed technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

    • Aptitude for Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) work on site with the customer.

    • Excellent skills in MS Office applications.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • In-depth experience with systems engineering, systems integration, or requirements management for large, complex systems.

    • Knowledge of leading edge technologies in space.

    • General knowledge of current technologies including artificial intelligence.

    • General knowledge of relevant systems in life cycle spanning conception, acquisition initiation, development, deployment, and operations.

    • 5+ years of experience with government acquisition processes.

    • Demonstrated success coordination across multiple disparate organizations.
