    Summer Electrical Engineering Intern

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven intern to join our engineering team during the summer of 2024. You will have an opportunity to develop and test solutions relevant to future Vulcan products alongside the Engineering and Research & Development teams. This internship will help you grow your professional skills and broaden your experience in engineering as you contribute to our company-wide goals.

    The summer engineering intern program with Vulcan is designed to provide students hands-on exposure to daily engineering operations, project management, cross-functional teamwork, and research & development. The successful candidate will be a self-directed, results-oriented, and will have a strong interest in working with our business full time upon graduation.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Electronic/Electrical Circuit Design & Application

    • Development and Integration of Micro Controller Specifications and Application

    • Troubleshooting Electronic Devices and Systems

    • Development of Electrical Schematics

    • Connection between engineering and business/market needs

    • Component design with CAD (Solid Works)

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

    • Electrical Engineering path with emphasis on relevant math & science.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    • CAD software experience, Solid Works or other similar 3D system aptitude preferred

    • "C" programming (C+ or C++) preferred

    • Understanding of both low and high voltage electrical circuits

    • 3.2 GPA or higher

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

    • You will work in a team-oriented office and lab environment

    • Ideal candidate would be available for an internship in both summer 2023 and summer

      2024 prior to graduating
