Our General Contractor/Construction Management client in metro-Detroit is seeking a Superintendent that specializes in ground-up commercial projects to join to their team in metro-Detroit. Day to Day Responsibilities: -Responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of subcontractors and skilled trades on site -Provide overall on-site administrative to ensure project is constructed in a safe and organized manner and in accordance with design, budget, schedule, and quality -Assist PM team with implementation of all project procedures -Responsible for the control of costs in materials and wages -Participate in negotiation of sub-contractors -Keeps records on work performed and materials -Exercises control construction progress in order to complete construction project within time limits -Attends weekly Owner, Architect, Contractor meetings -Maintenance of schedule during construction of the project

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST -5 years + experience as Superintendent in multi-family based projects OR 10 years + in extensive commercial experience -Managed handful of $5+ Million projects. Can not be afraid of some projects being $15 million -Ground-up/New build experience - 2 professional references NICE -CPR, First Aid, OSHA certs -Stormwater Certs DISQUAL -Weak ground up experience -Hot head. No refs -Cannot commit to traveling to sites -Residential or owners rep experience only
