    A Supplier Engineer is needed for a biomedical/biotechnology engineering firm and multinational manufacturer of medical devices in the Arden Hills, MN area. This role entails leading the integration of purchased components, managing projects independently, fostering global supplier partnerships, driving supply chain optimization, and ensuring compliance with quality standards in the medical device industry.

    responsibilities

    • Build partnerships with suppliers globally to understand requirements, influence, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work.

    • Identify and lead Value Improvement Projects (VIPs) and cost optimizations within the supply chain.

    • Execute plans to support supply chain objectives, including supplier performance, supplied material risk mitigation, and execution of materials VIP.

    • Lead or participate in project teams to qualify and improve supplier processes.

    • Drive troubleshooting processes and problem-solving methodologies at supplier facilities to improve quality, reliability, and supply chain.

    • Support other Supplier Engineers with Acquisition Integration projects, including component qualification, supplier change assessments, and Regulated Material Compliance evaluations.

    • Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

    What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

    • 3-4 years of experience in a related field.

    • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working with suppliers or in supply chain management.

    • Experience working in Medical Device or other regulated industries.

    • Excellent communication and project management skills.

    • strong bias for action and results-oriented.

    • Self-driven and self-motivated to learn and knowledge to produce results.

    • Good understanding of statistical methods, six sigma methodologies, and problem-solving methodologies.
