Systems Engineer

Description

Robert Half's client is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join a dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Microsoft 365 suite of applications and services. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of M365 environment to ensure optimal performance, security, and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 services and applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and other associated services.

• Configure and manage identity and access management solutions such as Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, and conditional access policies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement governance policies, security controls, and compliance measures to protect data and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Provide technical expertise and support for M365-related issues, including troubleshooting, performance optimization, and root cause analysis.

• Plan and execute Microsoft 365 projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

• Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation and administration of M365 services.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft 365 features, updates, and best practices, and evaluate their potential impact on our environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 6+ years of experience working with Microsoft 365, including hands-on experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and other related services.

• Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts, including Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, and single sign-on (SSO) technologies.

• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration of M365 services.

• Solid understanding of security principles and best practices for securing M365 environments, including data loss prevention (DLP), encryption, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
