Systems Test Engineer

Systems Test Engineer - Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)

Candidates must have deep technical expertise with Core routing and switching, Enterprise technologies, and preferably automation technologies. Candidates must also have strong customer interaction, troubleshooting, and consulting skills. They must be able to articulate complex concepts in easy-to-understand language. Candidates must be proficient in customer facing discussions as well as the technologies listed above. Typically requires BS plus 7-8+ years related experience, or a MS with 5-6 years of related experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Customer Facing experience.

• Previous experience in a customer support or TAC-style role

• Routing and Switching experience, R&S and/or SP CCNP Required

• Strong knowledge of IOS-XR and IOS

• Strong knowledge of Cisco SP platforms (ASR9K, ASR1K, Nexus 7K, NCS5500)

• Experience in all or most of the following: ISIS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, LAN Switching, STP, MPLS, Traffic Engineering, Multicast, Virtualization, EVPN, VxLAN

• Programming experience/familiarity (Python / Robot Framework preferred)

• Linux/Unix experience

• Proficient with Industry Test Tools; Spirent or Ixia preferred

• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and formal presentation)

• Ability and experience debugging and troubleshooting complex network problems

Suggested Qualifications

• CCIE - Service Provider or R&S

• Multimedia traffic analysis experience

• Network programmability (Python, Netconf, Yang)

• Test and validation experience (hardware or software)
