    As a Technical Program Manager of HMI and Infotainment Development within Ford, you will have the responsibility of leading complex engineering projects leveraging your software development expertise. In this role, you will lead a cross functional team in the development of our next generation Infotainment or Driver Information features and user interfaces from conception to system release. Our domain controller systems must be equipped to handle the use cases of today and those of tomorrow. Our ambitions reach well beyond existing solutions, and we are in search of innovative individuals to join this team.

    As a member of this team, you will be working with interaction/digital designers, technical architects, software developers, and testers to manage and specify product requirements, development schedules, change requests / evaluations, overall risks, and effectively communicating to stakeholders at various levels within the company.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with Product Managers and Interaction & Digital Designers in development of Product and HMI specifications

    • Work with Software Architects and provide technical feasibility / solutions on System and HMI specifications

    • Breakdown development tasks and unblock software developers to deliver quality code

    • Create stories, manage, and prioritize the development backlog

    • Ensure teams are aware of key project milestones and deliveries

    • Quantify feature release quality by evaluating projected software defect rate, number of open defects, etc.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering

    • 3+ years of experience in software development of Features / HMIs / User Interfaces

    • 2+ years of experience in designing and releasing of software products

    • 1+ years of experience in project management with working knowledge of Agile Software Development processes (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Software development experience in Android, or Unreal Engine

    • Working knowledge of C/C++ or Python

    • Working knowledge of JIRA, Github

    • Working knowledge of Photoshop, InVision, Sketch

    • Experience with Digital Design Screens and Digital Assets

    • Demonstrated success delivering cross functional work streams and driving results across multiple teams.

    • Excellent ability to communicate, influence, and resolve conflict effectively at multiple levels, including leadership.

    • Demonstrated success building partnerships across a diverse set of functions and stakeholders.

    • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and with cross functional global teams

    • Familiarity with the technical implementation details of Radio, Cluster, Bluetooth, USB, Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Voice, CAN, and /or Navigation features within a vehicle
