    Eaton's Digital Hardware Enablement (DHE) Center of Excellence is looking for a Technical Program Manager, focused on the development and proliferation of reusable embedded software platforms across the enterprise. This position is in Raleigh, NC facility with hybrid work opportunities.

    Technical Program Manager

    In this role, you will facilitate technical collaborations delivering software capabilities within one or more reusable embedded software platforms driving New Product Introduction (NPI) acceleration across our Electrical and Industrial segments. You will also have the opportunity to work in a global environment where you solve complex, challenging technical issues and collaborate with diverse teams to create solutions that provide exceptional digitally enabled products.     Other responsibilities:

    • Build and foster business relationships based on transparency between product development teams and the center of excellence to drive value delivery on-time, on-specification, and on-quality. Gain a followership with stakeholders by building a track record of value delivery and technical excellence.

    • Collect detailed requirements from product teams inclusive of functional and non-functional requirements as well capturing technology and business contexts to achieve desired business results.

    • Leverage enterprise development program tracking tools, with expertise on stage gate development to help drive prioritization and deliver value to the teams with the highest business value that is needed the soonest.

    • Identify risks within a software collaboration and take active steps to reduce them through creating technical solutions and providing other suitable technical trade-offs. Effectively solve software centric dependencies between teams to achieve desired outcomes.

    • Gain deep understanding of existing and new software capabilities and apply it to make effort estimates or validate estimates made by others.

    • Demonstrate highly efficient and proactive communications with stakeholders to ensure that value delivery is consistent with expectations at all stages of collaboration. Prevent escalations by keeping all stakeholders informed, and solving issues before they impact program timelines.

    • Continuously improve the development process, quality attainment, automation, DevOps, and AI enabled development tools used to deliver software with year over year improvements to productivity.

    • Partner with internal customers, NPI teams and other stakeholders to get product development projects across the finish line to realize the maximum value of acceleration from platform reuse.

    Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical or business-related field, such as Science in Electrical Engineering, Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration

    • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in software development, program management, or a related field

    • At least 5 years of proven experience managing and delivering successful software products for companies, with emphasis on New Product Introduction for technology products that leverage embedded software.

    • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC to be considered.

    • Ability to work flexible hours supporting other time zones and travel up to 25%.

    • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree from an accredited institution in a technical or business-related field, such as Science in Electrical Engineering, Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration

    • Experience working in a multi-team development environment employing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

    • Direct experience configurating and maintaining projects in Atlassian Jira/Jira Cloud.

    • Direct experience with modern IoT and edge applications.
