  • Brooks Instrument ( ~~~ ), an industry leader in flow and pressure instrumentation for critical applications, is seeking candidates for a Manufacturing Technician (Validation Technician) position that will be based at the company headquarters in Hatfield, Pennsylvania (suburban Philadelphia). The company has manufacturing locations in Pennsylvania, Hungary, and Korea, and also maintains sales and service offices throughout the world. Our high-tech products are used in laboratory and process applications in end markets such as: oil & gas, petrochemical, medical devices, waste water, life sciences, and analytical instruments.

    Basic Function

    The Validation Technician role is to manage, plan, develop, test, execute, and document the validation and commissioning of electro-mechanical systems and software solutions used in the fabrication of Brooks Instrument products.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform validations of production equipment and software supporting our manufacturing lines.

    • Verify and troubleshoot equipment after system integration to ensure is ready for validation.

    • Prepare detailed test plans and validation results in written technical reports.

    • Collect, analyze, and interpret data in accordance with validation plans.

    • Identify, track, and assist with the fix of bugs/issues found during validation.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Able to plan, develop, set up, and conduct tests using electro-mechanical hardware and instrumentation.

    • Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems (DAQ), sensor interfacing (analog and digital), industrial networks and communications protocols, pneumatic and electro-mechanical systems, and process instrumentation.

    • Strong skills configuring Windows-based operating systems for custom software applications and hardware.

    • Excellent technical report writing skills required.

    • Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes.

    • Able to understand system requirements and deliverables.

    • Highly motivated self-starter with a high degree of initiative, creativity, and problem-solving ability.

    • Ability to get along with others in a team environment.

    • Flexible to work hours at night and/or weekends, if required.

    Education and Experience

    • 2- year degree in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Sciences required.

    • Minimum 4 years of experience conducting equipment validation.
